About the photo:
Tampa Bay, FL
The Iconic Tampa Bay Theater is a local staple in Tampa. Its grandeur has stood the test of time and is known far and wide. It was designed and built in 1926 by a Chicago architect which explains the shining lights that frame "Tampa".
in 1973 the building was scheduled to be demolished but the people came together to protect this beautiful building and later placed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
Today the theater is run by a non-profit and is one of the most used venues of its kind in Tampa.
An iconic piece of history I had to capture.
