You know those times when something unexpected happens and even though you weren't planning on it, you are forced to take advantage of the occurrence?
This was that photo. A moment of turmoil in the sky and the Flag flying proudly despite the approaching storm. I saw it as I drove by, turned around, parked and captured the splendor.
This photo to me expresses the hardships we have struggled through, the challenges we've faced and the opposition that has been overcome.
Despite it all, we have remained strong. We have overcome obstacles. We have trudged through the muck and we have remained Free!
When I look upon this photo I am thankful. Thankful to the men and women who protect our country. Thankful to the people who support it and thankful to the freedoms we have!
