Nature is amazing! The ability to survive despite the impossibility it faces always blows my mind. It shows strength, dedication, and a drive to overcome any and all obstacles despite the odds. It’s inspiring! This is what I wanted to capture.
On a beautiful cloudy day, I began my hike with the mission in mind. It was early fall and the leaves had just begun to change. The sweet smell of autumn in the air! I began my search.
After several hours, I came across a rock outcropping that grabbed my attention. It was taller than me, so I needed to climb up and when I did, I found what I was looking for. Nestled between two boulders, 15 feet above the ground was a small mountain ash its leaves already changing with the season.
Despite all odds and with immense dedication this little mountain ash had found its home and survived. It stood tall overlooking its fellows and proudly saying, “I did it! I survived!”
